2026–2027 HVAA Soccer Tryouts

Tryout registration for the 2026–2027 season is now open and will be completed exclusively through PlayMetrics.

HVAA Soccer continues to grow across all age groups U8–U19, offering multiple teams in each age group to ensure the right development pathway for every player.

How to Register

All players must pre-register for tryouts through our new PlayMetrics platform. Once registered, families will receive confirmation details, schedules, and communication directly through the system.

Age Group Change Information: Effective 2026-2027 Season

US Youth soccer is moving to an August 1 – July 31 school-year age cycle, replacing the birth-year system. This change better aligns players with their grade level and high school/college timelines — and eliminates “trap years” for 8th and 11th graders.

 

Players are expected to try out in the new age group parameters. Only players with written approval from the Technical Director and Executive Director may try out in an older age group. These requests must be submitted by your current coach. Players from outside the club may send these requests directly to me.  Since the goal of the change is to align players by grade, players born in August or September in the higher grade may get additional consideration for playing with their classmates.  This change allows players to compete alongside classmates and better align with high school and college timelines.

No placements are guaranteed before tryouts. Every player must earn their spot.
