HVAA Opening Day Parade 

Join us Saturday, April 5th, at 9:30 AM at Lower Moreland Park, in Albidale, for the HVAA “Opening Day” parade. Please arrive no later than 9:00 AM. Players should line up with their team by 9:15 AM.

Where to Meet:

• Tee Ball - Meet by the playground.
• Minor Prep Baseball - Meet by the hard courts.
• Minors Baseball - Meet by the batting cage.
• Majors Baseball - Meet by the concession stand.
• Travel Baseball - Meet at the parking lot (closest to the concession stand).
• All Softball Leagues -  Meet by the concession stand.

The parade will start at the entrance of Lower Moreland Park, and our HVAA teams will proudly parade in Albidale. Our HVAA mascot, HaVoc will make an appearance too. Following the parade, HVAA will host an opening day ceremony at the baseball field by the pond to start off the season! 

HVAA is proud to recognize Terry D’Ascenzo and Antonio Aspite on Opening Day as they take part in the ceremonial first pitch! Join us as we celebrate Terry and Antonio for their dedication to our athletes and the HVAA family. We can’t wait to see them take the mound for this special Opening Day tradition!

• Terry is a former HVAA coach whose passion for the game continues to shine through her family. She is the mother of our new Softball Director, Laura Arneson, and the proud Grandmom of Aerin Roos, a current 14U Travel player.
• Antonio Aspite’s commitment to HVAA Baseball is exceptional. As the coach of his three boys—Antonio, Nicholas, and Luca—in both HVAA Travel Baseball and In-House Baseball, he has made a lasting impact on our players and community. HVAA is honored to recognize him as HVAA’s 2025 Volunteer of the Year!

Following our opening day ceremony, stop by the entrance of Lower Moreland Park and check out our HVAA snack stand. We will also offer HVAA Baseball and Softball spirit wear for sale.
