Soccer Player Best Practices

HVAA Travel Soccer Player Standards

  • Players must update Teamsnap with availability at the beginning of the week as your coach/team manager has communicated.
  • If a player is missing a game or practice they should also communicate the reason why they are missing it. Add comments in the Add Availability Note under the player's name is an easy and quick way of doing so.
  • Players are expected to be at practice 5  minutes before its scheduled to start (dressed and fully ready to train).
  • Players are expected to warm up and be at games at least 30 minutes before its scheduled to start (dressed and fully ready to play). Some teams may require an earlier warm-up time.
  • Players must wear their gold HVAA training gear to every practice session.
  • Players should come dressed like a soccer player! Wear soccer shorts (not lax or basketball shorts), soccer socks over the shinguards and the appropriate soccer jersey.

Players are expected to come to training prepared and motivated to become a better soccer player. Players must exhibit self control and respect for the game, coach and teammates. Fun in practice comes from playing the game. Coaches/Trainers deserve our players full attention and practice will only be productive when players are fully focused on our coaches/trainers instruction and guidance.
