HVAA GK Academy

January 2023

Our HVAA GK Academy is a continuous training program for our travel soccer goalkeepers. The program is designed for our beginner, intermediate, and advanced players. Our younger goalkeepers will focus on a training plan that covers handling, diving, positioning, and other basic keeper skills. Our more advanced keepers will focus on positioning, shot stopping, 1v1s, and playing with their feet in addition to sharpening the key basic techniques.

HVAA's GK Academy is led by our HVAA professional coaches and trainers, Mike Gould and Bree Pudlo. Mike is Temple University's goalkeeper coach. He also was a college keeper at Cabrini University, and Bree was a college keeper at Holy Family University.  Both Mike and Bree are committed to improving the skill level of each player and learning to play confidently. They are supported by our full keeper staff, who also competed at the college level. Click here to view our keeper training staff.

What does the program look like? During the regular fall and spring seasons, our trainers will meet with our HVAA keepers during their training sessions for specialized instructions. During the off-season, HVAA holds group keeper training sessions.

What is the cost of the program? The GK academy is free and available only to HVAA Travel Soccer goalkeepers.
