FREE Travel Basketball Team Tryouts! Registration is Now OPEN! Sign Up Today!
TRYOUTS MOVED TO OCTOBER! REGISTRATION DEADLINE EXTENDED!
All interested players MUST complete the online tryout registration prior to participating in HVAA Travel Basketball tryouts. Only players, who complete this online registration, will be able to participate. Players can NOT sign up at the door! No walk-ins will be accepted! Registration is open from today through Sunday, October 4th. HVAA must have the final number of participants registered by October 4th so we can plan the tryouts accordingly. Due to COVID related actions being taken to maintain gathering compliance, we can only accept those registered.
Once FREE tryout registration closes, HVAA can not accept any late registrations. No exceptions!
Travel Basketball tryouts will begin on Monday, October 12th, and conclude on Friday, October 30th. The specific location, dates and times for each of the team tryouts will be posted on the website, and emailed on October 8th to all that have completed the FREE online tryout registration. Also, these are CLOSED door tryouts. Parents/guardians will check your child(ren) in for the tryout, and then return to pick them up at the end of the tryout time. NO spectators will be allowed into the gym at any time either before, during, or after the tryouts.
NEW THIS YEAR! HVAA may have two teams at the same GRADE LEVEL, male and/or female, depending on the number of tryout participants. If we do, HVAA will need to sustain two competitive teams at the same grade level at the same time, AND secure the additional travel coaching volunteers for the 2020-2021 season. HVAA Boys will have teams from 3rd grade through 8th grade. HVAA Girls will have teams from 4th grade through 8th grade.
Due to COVID-19, the Travel Basketball program will be modified to adhere to regulations. Roster size, pre/post practice/game actions, and attendance of spectators, will be different from years past. My expectations are that our HVAA community will be respectful and understanding that these decisions are being made in every effort to have the children safely participate in basketball this season. Once this program plan is disseminated to the families of the children making their respective teams, 100% compliance to these requirements will be expected by all.
