HVAA Opening Day Parade 

Our Opening Day is almost here, and we are excited to kick off the season with one of our favorite traditions, the HVAA Opening Day Parade. We invite all of our In-House & Travel Baseball, Softball and T-Ball families to join us this Saturday morning as we celebrate the start of our 2026 Spring season.

Date: This Saturday, April 11th
Location: Lower Moreland Park. (Albidale Fields)
Player Arrival Time: 9:00 AM in full uniform
Parade Start Time: 9:30 AM

NEW for this Year’s Parade

This year, players will walk the parade route with their coaches and teams. We are asking parents and family members to drop off their players with their coaches and then head to a viewing area along the route.

We encourage families to line Warfield Lane and Wheatsheaf Drive to cheer on the teams and players as they pass by instead of walking with their children as we have done in years past. Our goal is to create a fun and energetic atmosphere where players are surrounded by the support of their friends and family. We encourage parents and families to make and bring posters to show support for your favorite player and teams. Whether it is a player’s name, team pride, or a fun message, these signs will help make the parade even more special for the kids.

Parade Route
The parade will begin at the entrance of Lower Moreland Park and will proudly march on Warfield Lane, turning at Wheatsheaf Drive and continuing up until re-entering the park at the Upper Parking lot and following the pathway down along the Major’s Field to the Pond Field for Opening Day Ceremonies.

Drop-Off Meeting Areas
Parents, please drop your child off, parade-ready in full uniform with their team/coaches by 9:00 am and proceed to the Parade Route to support our walkers.

MINOR PREP PLAYERS: Tennis Courts
MINORS PLAYERS: Batting Cage Area
MAJORS PLAYERS: Snack Stand / Pavilion
TRAVEL BASEBALL: Main Parking Lot

SOFTBALL PLAYERS: Snack Stand / Pavilion

Special Appearance
Our HVAA mascot, HaVoc, will be in attendance for added fun!

Opening Day Ceremony
Immediately following the parade, we will gather at the baseball field by the pond (Pond Field) for our Opening Day Ceremony to officially begin the season. The ceremony will include welcome remarks and a ceremonial first pitch.

We are so excited to come together as a community and celebrate the start of another memorable season. We look forward to seeing everyone on Saturday. Following our opening day ceremony, stop by the entrance of Lower Moreland Park and check out our HVAA snack stand. We will also offer HVAA Baseball and Softball spirit wear for sale.
